HELLO! *looks around awkwardly* So, I guess it’s been a while since we’ve rounded up the ol’ roundup for uprounding.
These last thirty days have been a blur1.
At the end of May my friends and I held our third annual charity fundraiser “Meal-Morial Madness” and raised over $10,000 for Feeding America. I am still processing all of this. I think we had a good time? I was too focused on running things to relax but I think my subconscious had fun2. I am so proud of what we did and I will share more here about it sometime3.
So hopefully my loyal ones of readers, you’ll excuse my absence. I’ve been working on focusing on my mental health lately which hasn’t been great but we gots to keep on truckin’.
So here’s the latest in uprounding trends!
One of the biggest lies ever spread and the fact that we put it into recycling bins is just to make the public feel better.
YEAH! Let’s go Safari! I’ve been very happy since switching, it’s faster than Chrome by far and the new additions Apple is adding this year like Shared Tab Groups, should be another reason to test the waters of NOT CHROME.
One of the most iconic moments on Mythbusters, but the slow-mo camera went down.
Bo Burnham’s Inside was one of the best comedy specials to come out during this pandemic, and it definitely captured A LOT4. Here are some of the outtakes, there is also an album on most streaming services of some great songs.
Brian David Gilbert is back with one your new favorite summer saus… songs.
Much like This Person Does Not Exist, this image does not exist and is based on a generative adversarial network, but with this one, you have to determine if it’s real or if it’s fake and get a score.
Can’t boot up ol’ Word 98, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get some WordArt on demand.
Logjam is a short gay forestry sim about a burly lumberjack chopping wood on a hot summer day.
Look, you’re a sexy lumberjack. Deal with it. Go grab your big thick axe and chuck that wood. Just split him, bro!… But hey, watch where you swing that thing. Some logs are softer than others.
Purchasing the Queer Games Bundle is a direct action that you can take right now to support queer people in a life changing way and in exchange you get over 500 amazing, heartfelt, fun, and radical games.
Help nurture our diverse queer arts community, fund the creation of the next great game you love, and find your new favorite game by purchasing the bundle today.
There’s a game in here called Raptor Boyfriend, and I feel like that alone is worth the price of admission.
Unlike visual design which gets all the attention, I love learning about sound design. The ideas and execution that these artists put into games/movies/etc. always surprise me with the creativity and ingenuity. Sound design is made to not be actively acknowledged, but appreciated subconsciously.
That’s it for this week. 🏳️🌈 Happy Pride 🏳️🌈 to everyone out there. Hope everyone has a pleasant weekend, and I’ll be back with some rounds upon high next week.
- not a blue blur, although I did manage to watch Sonic The Hedgehog 2 recently… ↩
- I mean, we streamed for 36 hours straight with no technical hurdles… which… I mean come on… that’s pretty good :) ↩
- along with VODs, videos, songs, and a summary. We still have a lot of wrap-up activities to get after. ↩
- Like the breakdown of our collective mental health. ↩
